2004 Campaign Issues that effect the 8th Legislative District
As your State Representative, I will continue to seek regional involvement to arrive at solutions and represent those solutions for you in Olympia. Further, I will work to accomplish the following:
Making WA a business friendly state through reduction of rules and regulation and use of CTED monies for economic development not misspent on social programs,
Improving education through local control,
Tort reform so that the health care providers in our sate are not driven out by excessive malpractice insurance,
Regional Transportation planning,
Preservation of our Water rights, and
Homeland security |
The 8th District must, take that giant step forward in building a new common economy that is viable, sustainable, and provides family wage jobs.
As one nurtures and works a backyard garden, we must have elected officials at the local and state level who will work for and with this region to nurture and build a revitalized sustainable economy for Benton County and the 8th District. It is easier to speak about transitioning our economic base and representing your needs rather than to have actually been involved in accomplishing it. I ask you to consider carefully rhetoric versus accomplishments.
I will appreciate your support and your vote in September and November of this year.
