| 09/30/2008 | Haler endorsed by Farm Organizations | WA State Farm Bureau and Dairy Federation Endorse Rep. Larry Haler
Representative Larry Haler was notified recently by both the Washington State Farm Bureau PAC and the Washington State Dairy Federation that he has been endorsed for his re-election to the State House of Representatives by their organizations. As his campaign enters its last five weeks before the November 4 election deadline, Representative Haler is pleased to be recognized for his work on behalf of family farms and business in Washington State.
Bob Stuhlmiller, Chairman, Washington State Farm Bureau PAC, said, "Washington State Farm Bureau PAC is pleased to endorse Rep. Larry Haler for re-election. We appreciate his strong support for agriculture and his efforts to help Washington's family farmers and ranchers stay competitive.
"Benton County is fortunate to have a capable leader in Rep. Haler, and Farm Bureau PAC urges 8th district voters to join with us in supporting him for re-election."
The Farm Bureau PAC is the political arm of Washington Farm Bureau, the state's largest general agriculture and trade organization, representing more than 36,000 member families statewide.
Last December floods ravaged a huge percentage of the dairy farms in Washington State. Dairy families have pulled together to donate close to $250,000 in cash, feed and animals as well as time and back-breaking work to get the dairy industry back on its feet again in our state. Washington's dairy farms generate over one billion dollars in "on-farm" income and have a multi-billion dollar economic impact in our state.
Co-Chairmen of the Washington Dairy PAC, Jim Heeringa and George DeRuyter, wrote in their letter to Haler, "This endorsement comes in recognition of the understanding and leadership you have provided to the state, its citizen, its rural farm families and in particular to the diary industry."
Representative Larry Haler will continue to work to represent the courageous, hard-working citizens of our state by providing open, accessible leadership in Olympia |
